Tutor Charlotte English Grammar First Protocol
English Grammar 101
The student must begin the tutoring protocol immediately upon enrollment in Tutor Charlotte for English Grammar 101. The student will be assigned one module per week. The master tutor will record the student's score for each quiz in each module and offer tutoring on any quiz where the student scored less than 95%. Completion of English Grammar 101 represents over 100 hours of classroom instruction. Mastery of English Grammar 101 means the student is completely proficient in grammar and composition.
All students in grades 4-12 are required to write in cursive for Tutor Charlotte. The student will be assessed as to their handwriting legibility by writing a minimum of three paragraphs with a minimum of four sentences per paragraph. If the student's cursive handwriting is deemed "not legible," the student will be assigned a minimum of 5 sets of worksheets due each week and must be turned into the master tutor during in-person tutoring.
Failure to turn in the practice cursive worksheets after being assigned to do so will result in a mandatory 6 hour invitation to tutoring at $13.00 per invitation. The student will then practice cursive handwriting under the direction of the master tutor.
The student must be given the 8 written lessons on the 8 Parts of Speech and be tested on the lessons during the first 8 weeks of enrollment.
All students in grades 4 and 5 will be issued the 6th Grade Glencoe Grammar textbook and will be taught one chapter per week from the textbook. After being tutored on a chapter, the student will be assigned the chapter practice that must be completed in cursive using the Tutor Charlotte format.
All students in grades 6-12 will be issued the Glencoe Grammar textbook for their grade level and will be taught one chapter per week from the textbook. After being tutored on a chapter, the student will be assigned the chapter practice that must be completed in cursive using the Tutor Charlotte format.
The student should repeat the lessons to retain and improve their knowledge of English Grammar.
The student will then practice the English Grammar quizzes to improve understanding of English Grammar.
Your student will practice English vocabulary daily to improve reading comprehension. In sets of 25, 40, 50, and 100 words, your student will be drilled in vocabulary usage and meaning. We keep track of your student's scores and offer continuous tutoring until the student comprehends.
