Appointment Request Policy
(Updated April 9, 2017)
You must make your appointment requests 24 hours in advance of the appointment or before midnight for an appointment the next day.
No appointment requests will be approved if not made 24 hours in advance or before midnight for an appointment the next day.
Appointment requests for online and in-person tutoring are on a first come first served basis, but are also given based on the difficulty of the subject matter, the student's previous willingness to do Tutor Charlotte homework, study habits, and academic needs.
The number of one on one online tutoring sessions given to a student in a 30-day period depends on the program. Academic work is required to receive the one on one online tutoring purchased in the program December 1, 2016 to June 31, 2017.
Program I students receive 4 online tutoring sessions per month.
Program II students receive 4 online tutoring sessions per month.
Program III students receive 6 online tutoring sessions per month.
Program IV students receive 8 online tutoring sessions per month.
Program V students receive 12 online tutoring sessions per month.
Online tutoring time is allotted based on our formula which calculates the amount of academic work done by the student, achievement, and program. Specifically, assigned and completed academic work by the student will result in the following:
4 SAT Vocabulary Quiz (25 words) completed with 95% or better. = One online tutoring session.
2 Vocabulary Quizzes (100 words) completed with 95% or better. = One online tutoring session.
5 completed English Grammar Worksheets. = One online tutoring session.
5 completed Mathematics Worksheets. = One online tutoring session.
4 Practice Quizzes completed with 95% or better. = One online tutoring session.
1 Chapter of SAT/ACT Math. = Three online tutoring sessions.

The schedule button for in-person tutoring on your student's web page is turned on and in-person tutoring appointments will be approved when a parent emails the master tutor the student is taking a quiz, tests, and or exam in the upcoming week on a concept that warrants an in-person tutoring session. If your student refuses to do the academic work designed to help them, in-person tutoring requests will not be approved until the student completes the work and a parent emails the master tutor the academic work is complete. However, if the student needs help to complete the assigned academic work on their web page, the student and or parent must call the master tutor and make arrangements for an online tutoring session on the specific concepts in direct relationship to the student's assigned academic work.
Once an in-person tutoring session has been approved because the student has stated the assigned academic work is complete, failure to turn in the assigned academic work during the beginning of the in-person tutoring session will result in a mandatory invitation to tutoring at a cost of $20.00 or the student's tutoring session will be immediately cancelled and the student asked to go home. No tutoring will take place that day.
