Enrollment in Tutor Charlotte Inc.

  • New students must complete the application below to be considered for low cost high quality subsidized academic tutoring. There are no income requirements and any student my apply.

  • Current students are required to submit a new application at the beginning of every semester. Current students will be evaluated every 90 days as to whether the student is effectively utilizing the Tutor Charlotte Programs, effectively attending tutoring sessions, and completing academic work designed to improve their academics.

  • New students are accepted only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and the first tutoring session is a 90 minute 1 on 1 online tutoring session at a cost of $26.06 to be completed either on a Friday, Saturday, and or Sunday by appointment only online. The parent is required to stay online with the student for a minimum of 30 minutes online and complete all forms online.

  • You must verbally speak with the master tutor before signing up yourself or your student in a Tutor Charlotte Program.

  • Your student must have access to the internet, speakers on their computer, and a working printer to printout academic work before signing up for a Tutor Charlotte Program.

  • You must verbally speak with the master tutor before changing your program to another program and making payment.

  • Failure to notify the master tutor of a change in your choice of programs will not always result in acceptance in another program and may result in a refund of your payment if it has been made.

  • Tutor Charlotte has a limited number of available student slots in any given month. Please check the program availability for students to receive low cost high quality subsidized tutoring.

  • New and current students in grades 6-12 must complete Set Theory and Logic and master Geometry based on a set schedule as part of all Tutor Charlotte curriculum for Programs II, III, IV, V, and VI.

  • All students must complete at least two 30 minute online tutoring sessions per week in the Blue Classrooms.

  • All students must complete at least two 1 on 1 online tutoring sessions per week.

  • If you wish to sign up for low cost high quality subsidized academic tutoring and supplemental education and a student slot is not available, you will be put on a waiting list. We will call you when there is an opening.

Is your student available for academic tutoring between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. twice a week on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday?
For Grades 9-12, is your student available for academic tutoring in Algebra II, Geometry, Math II, Math III, Precalculus, and Calculus, SAT/ACT Math between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. twice a week on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday?
My student can spend 1 hour a day after school at home and on the weekends at home studying to improve their grade(s) in the subject(s) being tutored. Tutor Charlotte will hold the student strictly accountable to this policy.

The master tutor will require your student to read daily to improve. Will your student read daily?
Tutor Charlotte requires a student in Program II, III, IV, and V to do a minimum of 1 full hour per week in online tutoring to improve their grades or the student will be given a mandatory 6 hour invitation to in-person tutoring for that week. The cost of a mandatory invitation to in-person tutoring is $20.91 per six hour tutoring session. Is this program protocol acceptable to you?

Recommended, but not required-The parent should consider allowing the master tutor and the student to complete an: Initial one (6) hour tutoring sessions costing $40.00 where the master tutor will to teach the student proper study habits, our mathematics and English Grammar regimen and protocols. The student will also be taught proper learning skills, master note taking, and begin the completion of "Set Theory and Logic" for reading comprehension. Grades 4-12 only. The parent(s) must schedule the time for the six hour tutoring sessions to take place on a Saturday and Sunday.
Recommended, but not required-New students should take an academic assessment so the master tutor and the parent will know where the student is in regards to English Grammar and Composition and grade level mathematics will be charged during the third month of academic tutoring for mathematics, reading comprehension, and English Grammar for new Program II, III, IV, and V students beginning December 1, 2017. The academic assessment takes three hours. The parent(s) must schedule the time for the session to take place in the third month of tutoring. The cost is $40.00.
